The Child Research/Services Section will focus initial scholarly efforts on examining the status of child disaster mental health by conducting literature reviews in key areas.
These will address topics such as research methodologies, children's reactions, family and social influences, interventions, and community resilience and child wellness. They will culminate in recommendations for policy and a research agenda.
Parallel attention will be given to developing an administrative infrastructure for response and research taking advantage of existing networks as possible.
