Stanley Rosenberg, PhD

Dr. Stanley D. Rosenberg is a co- Investigator in the National Center for Disaster Mental Health Research. He received a PhD in Social Psychology from Yale University, where he also was a post-doctoral fellow in clinical psychology. He is a Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School, where he serves as Director of the Dartmouth Trauma Interventions Research Center.

His interests include developmental and longitudinal aspects of posttraumatic stress disorders, as well as their treatment in special populations, including people with severe and persistent mental illness, adolescents, primary care patients and cultural minorities. Current and recent work includes conducting randomized clinical trials of PTSD treatment in multi-problem populations, and dissemination of evidence-based treatments for public sector clients with trauma histories.

He currently directs the New Hampshire Project for Adolescent Trauma Treatment, funded through the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (SAMHSA). He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Traumatic Stress and is the PI or co-PI on several NIH funded grants, including 2 trials of manualized treatments for PTSD.
