Kim Mueser, PhD

Dr. Kim T. Mueser is a Co-Investigator of the National Center for Disaster Mental Health Research. He received a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School.

His interests are in psychiatric rehabilitation for persons with severe mental illness and in the cognitive-behavioral treatment of posttraumatic stress reactions. He has a particular interest in the treatment of PTSD and related disorders in special, vulnerable populations, such as people with another major psychiatric disorder, addiction, adolescents, and survivors of disasters and other types of mass violence.

Dr. Mueser is the U.S. Editor of the Journal of Mental Health and serves on the editorial boards of several other scientific journals.
