Dr. Mauldin is the Director of the Center for Academic and Research Computing at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She received an EdD in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University. She is an associate professor in the Department of Library Science and Informatics and Director of the Center for Academic and Research Computing at MUSC.
Dr. Mauldin's interests include teaching and learning online and faculty development and her involvement in disaster research has focused on preparedness and response training.
She is an alumnus of the Higher Education Resource Services leadership institute, an adjunct professor in an online masters program at Azusa Pacific University, and a member of the Association for Computing Machinery and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She has been chosen as one of eight delegates from the US to participate in a HERS leadership institute in September 2008 at the University of Cape Town in Cape Town, South Africa.
At MUSC, she chairs the Apple Tree Society, an organization to encourage the scholarship of teaching and learning, is one of four leaders for a university-wide campus effort called Creating Collaborative Care, a Faculty Scholar for the Presidential Scholars Program, a member of the MUSC Women Scholars, and serves on the Provost's executive committee for a university-wide effort called MUSC Excellence.
